Everyone has prejudice.....everyone is crazy
Class on thursday was very interesting to me. I found it very entertaining at first that the video of the Ginger prejudice was soo crazy. Then after i left i realized that all racisms and prejudices are basically crazy. I have some prejudices as i believe everyone does. When i thought about some things that i do i felt ashamed and pretty stupid. Im gona tryo to make a better effort to see people for how they act not what they look like

I think Catherine Tate's anti-ginger sketch really puts a lot of the concepts we have been talking about into perspective, as it applies them to a perhaps unexpected example and takes them to a comedic extreme. I wonder, though, if most viewers would get Tate's point or if selective perception would come into play. Those of us who are attuned to issues of race and ethnicity would see that she is trying to get us to think about these issues, however those with certain prejudices may see her sketch as a confirmation that it is justified to discriminate against those who are physically "different."
