Biracial Families

http://aacap.org/page.ww?name=Multiracial+Children&section=Facts+for+Families

I thought this site had some interesting facts.

I personally have 3 cousins who are half white and half black, the mother being white and the father being black. From my personal experience I haven't seen anything negative occur to them for being biracial, i'm sure it's happened but I haven't seen it, the only thing I've ever heard people "talk about" is the fact that their mother is in a wheelchair.. BUT where I grew up, I'm not sure how to explain it, because it's rare. I live in a area where there are very very very very few African Americans, I honestly can only think of maybe 5 others that I know of outside of my cousins, but out of these few, I've never really seen them treated differently because they were of a different race or because they were biracial. It's just weird because I've always heard how its hard being the minority but, being friend with one of the few ( the only one my age- rest were all younger---not including my cousins) He never told me of anything specifically happen to him because of his race, nor had i heard of him speak of anything like that , that he knew happened to others. My friend was also biracial, his family seemed to function jut like ever other family I've ever been around, so biracial families and non biracial families in my eyes were always the same- honestly never really crossed my mind about it being different
